Drug Drop/Food Drive Success

Sheriff Brent Miller reported another successful Drive-thru Drug Drop/Food Drive held recently at the Washington County Sheriffs Department.
Sheriff Miller said they collected 48 pounds of prescription medication that was then incinerated.
Sheriff Miller started the Drug Drop Program in October of 2019 and has incinerated more than 1,262 pounds of prescription medication since starting the program.
The Sheriffs Department also holds a food drive for the local food bank, when they have the Drive-thru Drug Drop. They recently collected 326 pounds of food, which was delivered to the local food bank.
Sheriff Miller would like to thank everyone, who brought food donations for the local food bank.
